Welcome!

"Let us always meet each other with a smile, for a smile is the beginning of love" - Mother Teresa

You Are Enough.

You Are Enough.

I found this little frame while shopping the other day and immediately knew that I needed to buy it and put it on my nightstand so that it would be the last thing I see every night and the first thing I see every morning.

You Are Enough.

I have had to repeat these words to myself numerous times throughout my life, and yet, there have been several times where I don't believe them. I "know it" in my head, but I don't "know it" in my heart. And each time I find myself saying these words, I hear the opposite words being repeated to me (and often different variations of it). You are NOT ________ enough. Fill in the blank with whatever word you want, depending on the day or the circumstance warranting this lie to be repeated over and over. You are not pretty enough. You are not thin enough. You are not smart enough. You are not kind enough. You are not humble enough. You are not rich enough. You are not Catholic enough. And yet, each of these phrases are exactly that: LIES. The devil knows that God tells us the opposite. God desires to tell you that "You Are Enough" daily because He knows we need to hear it, especially when society tries to destroy that truth and make us believe that it is a false narrative. Our world often helps feed these lies with an emphasis on competition, greed, power, lust, pride, and obsession with perfection.

God loves us for who we are because He made us beautifully and wonderfully. We can certainly continue to strive to be better in little ways since we will naturally fail and fall away because of our imperfection as human beings. But God still sees us as enough, worthy to be pursued, worthy to be unconditionally loved, and worthy to be united with Him eternally in the Kingdom. We have to "know it" within our head AND our heart and also believe it as truth. God desires nothing more than for us to realize how much He loves us and for us to turn completely to Him, no matter how imperfect we feel we are. He wants to show us what He has in store for us, but we have to trust in Him. My current mantra and prayer is "Lord, I want to want what you want me to want." And right now, I feel like God just wants me to know that "I am enough." Period.

To whoever is reading this, regardless of your faith background or worldview, regardless of your age or where you are in your journey of life, please hear these words loud and clear: YOU ARE ENOUGH.
